Kitchen & Bath
There are certainly more choices available today than ever before in kitchen and bath products and then there’s an entirely new consideration: green products that conserve water. The concern that water will be the next natural resource to be scarce is driving manufacturers and consumers to search for products that reduce water usage because the reality is we cannot create new water, we can only change the manner in which we use it. Faucets and shower heads have improved tremendously as a result of water conservation efforts and the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) new low-flow standards. KOHLER® features water-saving faucets with low-flow aerators which can save up to 45% more water than the standard 2.75 gpm faucet. The EPA’s WaterSense program is the plumbing equivalent of ENERGY STAR® uses a third-party testing to certify
products that not only conserve water but also perform as well as the standard less-efficient products. Toilets that qualify for the WaterSense label, for example, require no more than 1.28 gallons of water per flush compared to the 1.6 gallons required by law since 1992.
